City & Guilds (NVQ) Courses

In partnership with SHEilds, we offer NVQ courses. Which is for people who are engaged in a safety role and wish to further their knowledge and expertise in the field. The NVQ Level 5 Diploma is one of the three common pathways to CMIOSH and the consultants register.

You will need to have some knowledge of health and safety, typically a NEBOSH General Certificate or similar. You will need to be in a health and safety role within your organisation as you will need to generate and log evidence.

The main benefit of the NVQ route is as follows:

  • It may suit, or be the preferred learning method for you, rather than the stressful examinations of the NEBOSH. This is a portfolio based approach
  • You will gain a qualification which is specific to your role
  • A flexible study option
